Flying High ATC

Here is my creation for the Wicked Wednesday challenge.
For some reason I can't stay away from my alcohol inks lately and it's even more so now since I've added some lights and brights to my collection.
This happens to be Cloudy Blue(Lights) and Pearl mixative. Unfortunately, my photo skills and photo manipulation program skills are still a work in progress. In real time, this is much more blue, but for the effect I was going for I think this will pass.
This is one of my favorite Inkadinkado stamps, there is one that is butterflies also and I have used that one a lot too.
I created the words in Open Office and boxed them by hand and cut out, popped them up on dimensionals so they would float also.
This reminds me of days when I would actually lay in the grass and look up at the clouds seeing what shapes we could see. That was before I worried about bug bites. ;-)
Make a little 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" piece of artistic goodness and enter it over at Wicked Wednesday, you'll have some fun.

Fairy Sweet

Fat Pages & Cards With Attitude     Challenge # 9-Anything Goes/Love

Challenge #8 had a few more entrants this time around, thank you for entering. Be sure to tell all your friends who love to create fun little pages of goodness and cards also, to come over and join in on the fun.
Challenge #9 is up and running now. You're got 2 weeks to check out the Design Team inspiration projects and get your mojo working. You know we've got prizes---
I created my Fat Page with this Fairy digi from Fresh Brewed Designs. I could just see her skipping through the fields after a happy spring shower. I found this free image on Google for the background of exactly what I had imagined, colored the digi with Copic Markers and added a little sparkle to her wings with a clear star gel pen, cut her out, cut out the grass with a MFT die, and attached both to the Fat Page. I inked around the edges for a bit of dimension and couldn't resist adding a couple of die cut pale pink butterflies.
You know this little gal has got some attitude going on if she's peeking  from behind this mushroom. I bet she's playing chase with some other fairies.
Look forward to commenting on all your wonderful entries in the next 2 weeks.

Daisies & Butterflies

ATCs & Cards With Attitude     Challenge #9-Steampunk/Anything Goes

Wow, what a response to Challenge #8--Thank You to Everyone who participated. Great projects!!
I try to get around to everyone to comment, hope I didn't miss anyone.
I didn't jump on the Steampunk bandwagon this fortnight, I've gone with the Anything Goes because I couldn't pass up the chance to work with this pretty digi from Delicious Doodles.
I was going to pop up the butterflies, but after I got through coloring the image with Copic Markers it looked so fresh and crisp I decided to spritz a little bit of blue on for a hint of sky and add a black line border, then attached it to an olive green ATC blank.
I hope this gives you a little jump start on your mojo for Challenge #9 and we hope to see at least as many of you this fortnight or maybe a few more.

Green Pennant BD

Birthday Sundaes     Challenge #47-Use Green

A quick update, I rechecked the Clean & Simple blog and I didn't miss the deadline, so again, got too many things going on at the same time. The new sketch is very interesting, check it out.
I missed the entry link for Sketch 181, but that's o.k. There are no winners or losers at Clean & Simple Stamping, just good fun sharing. Sketch 182 is up and running, so if you need a good idea to get you jump started on a project this is a good site to check out.
I'm just getting under the wire at Birthday Sundaes this week, but that's o.k. too, better late than never and even though my family says I'm very competitive, these challenge sites are all about fun. However, I did win the first time I entered at Birthday Sundaes, oops, that would be bragging, or for me personal clapping ;-)
Whatever it is, the team at Birthday Sundaes are very welcoming and talented and I am glad I found them so that I can have some fun while I'm beefing up my birthday card stash.
Oh, yeah, I used Wild Wasabi embossing powder to give this clean and simple birthday a tactile punch. The baker's twine was white til I dragged it across a Lucky Limeade ink pad.

TuTu Cute

Try Stampin' On Tuesday     Challenge#57-Sketch
Art With No Boundaries     Challenge 4: Fashionista--Some sewing creations

I saw this cute new design from Chris at CS Designs and knew it would be the digi I used for Challenge 4 at Art With No Boundaries. There's also a little sneak peek for maybe a future release of the cute sentiment, it will go with a  lot of Chris's designs.
I have my sewing machine area piled up right now, so I had to get a little clever and pull out some glittery tulle, very thin cross stitch thread, and a sewing needle to create this over skirt for the ballerina costume. I cut the bottom edge with scallop scissors, but you can't really tell, tulle is very persnickety to work with. The pink glitter is Distress Stickles Worn Lipstick and the very tiny glitter dots are a pink Spica glitter pen. I love black, gray, white, and pink so this was my color choice which after I had attached the strips of designer paper I ran the whole front of the card through an embossing folder to create the embedded embossed look and hit the high points with Metallic Rub-On Sparkle White.
Of course, when I picked the digi and the colors I had to have a great sketch to put it all together, so I picked the one at Try Stampin' On Tuesday. I turned it horizontal and used the Spellbinders Labels 14 dies for the focal areas.
Hope you add a little glitter to your lives every once in awhile, just for some fun.

Relish Reading

Rogue Redhead Designs     Challenge #9-Gate Fold Cards

Good Tuesday Morning--grab a cuppa and get ready to create and enter the new challenge at Rogue Redhead Designs. There are lots of gate fold cards out there, but today I've created a Joy Fold card for you.
Here are the measurements I used:
Base: 8 1/2" X 4 1/4" scored at 3"--that creates the left half of the gate.
Piece that creates the right half of gate: 8" X 3"--I scored at 3 1/2" to accommodate the longer stamp, but you can score at 4" for a fatter gate.
Tip: Be sure to place the closure holder on the front of the card so it catches plenty of the bottom corner to hold it shut, also, use Scor-Tape or Red Line Tape to attach the left side of the closure to the front of the card so the flap will not pop it off.
The next step is choosing the pretty papers and stamps to create a striking creation to wow your recipient.
I used portions of  the Relish Reading, Just Sayin', and Beach Babes stamp sets. The gold ink is Brilliance Galaxy Gold, the papers and other ink are Well Worn designer papers and Early Expresso from Stampin' Up.
We'd love to have you come over and enter the new challenge, you don't have to use Rogue Redhead stamps, but if you have them that would be great. Who knows if you enter, you might win some of the great stamps and you'd be set up for the next challenge.
Come out of you plain A2 card folds and try a card fold you might not have tried before.
